An AtMega32 was equipped with R-2R ladder D/A converters for controlling the beam of an old oscilloscope. To get some fun out of the setup, a Tetris clone with chain reactions was implemented. Beat the highscore!
Aske Olsson and I chose to make a radically different robot for the DTU Robocup 2007 competition: a snake robot. This is a description and photo documentation of the project. Also see videos of the competition performance.
The MMC2IEC device simulates a 1541 drive and enables loading and saving programs to MMC or SD flash media with a C64. This project embodies a large code base including a FAT16/32 driver.
This project describes how I build the C64 Direct-to-TV device into a wooden box and fixed the flawed PAL circuit.
As the excellent text editor: Crimson Editor was released as open source, I did a couple of small modifications to make it even better. At least better to me.
This article documents how a capacitance measuring device was made using an Atmel atmega8 microcontroller. The readout is on a standard 16x2 characters LCD and the device can be calibrated. The EEPROM is used to save the calibration.
To fix an annoying user interface on a cheap Denver DVD player, an Atmel AVR is programmed to decode the buttons and trick the DVD player to do the desired functions by emulating remote control signals. The AVR also takes over decoding the incoming IR signals and makes it possible to control the unit with other remote controls as well.
In time I have repaired a number of electronic devices, mostly HiFi equipment. This article consists of logs of the most interesting repairs
